Halo

😇 HALO UPDATE 😇

We are SO happy to share that sweet Halo is doing very well! 🥹

He has the sweetest personality & has stolen the hearts of our shelter staff 🥰

And despite everything he has been through he continues to show us just how strong and resilient he is. From the moment we found him he has been a fighter ❤️

We are SO incredibly grateful that we were able to be there for him when he needed us most… and even MORE grateful for the incredible support from our community that showed up for him and makes it possible for us to say YES to animals who are in need of a second chance 🙏🏻

He still has a long road to recovery ahead of him but we’ll be right by his side every step of the way as his wounds heal and he adjusts to his new life on three legs ❤️

Keep fighting sweet boy! We’ve got you 🫶🏼

🚨EMERGENCY INTAKE!! 🚨

We were called first thing this morning of a dog who was stabbed and was profusely bleeding 😓

We immediately loaded up, rushed out to pick him up, and got him to the vet as soon as we could

He was shocky, cold, and and by the time we arrived he was too weak to stand 💔

Our amazing veterinary team at Central Veterinary Clinic immediately assessed him. They determined that his wounds were from a small pointed object or a potential dog fight and that he suffered significant blood loss

He was placed on fluids, given pain medication, and they are now working to stabilize him overnight in preparation for an amputation tomorrow after also discovering a catastrophic shoulder dislocation 😓

We are SO grateful to the person who called and kept him warm, calm, and safe from other free roaming dogs until we could arrive 🙏🏻

It was truly unbelievable that despite his condition and what he has been through, he was wagging his tail the entire time he was being assessed 🥹

We named him Halo - as we truly believe had angels watching over him! 🪽

We have you now buddy - you are safe with us. We are going to do EVERYTHING we can to help you heal! ❤️
