Kenzie's Story
Kenzie when she arrived at SG in 2021
Kenzie arrived at Saving Grace as a pregnant stray in March 2021. Not only that, but she was suffering from Parvo- a contagious and often deadly disease. It takes a big toll on unvaccinated puppies and dogs. She would go on to have 6 puppies in our care. Life had not been kind to Kenzie during her short lifespan, but she was a fighter. Kenzie would find her forever home at the end of June, 2021, after giving everything to her 6 beautiful puppies. Read below to hear about her adoption story
Kenzie was rescued by Saving Grace in the spring of 2021. She was just a puppy herself and when they took her in to be spayed discovered she was pregnant. She was so sick with parvo, fleas, and worms she nearly didn’t make it. Thanks to Saving Grace, their vets and two wonderful foster homes Kenzie recovered and gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies. Kenzie gave all she had to her puppies and looked quite scraggly the day we met…today she has a beautiful, shiny, thick black coat of hair!
I had been watching the Saving Grace site for some time and when I saw her photo and write-up I knew I had to meet her. We met June 26, 2021. That day all her puppies had been adopted. She came in and snuggled in to our legs and we knew she was the one!
Kenzie has transformed from a timid, shy puppy momma into a dog that loves her people, her horses and her dog friends. Her favourite time of day, besides meals and treats, is walk-time or a car ride! She is sweet, loving, playful and silly…a perfect companion at home, on the road, on the trail or in the vehicle. Easy to love. We are so grateful to all who rescued her and literally saved her life.
